Mr. Iraj Motazedi gained his international reputation as the founder, major shareholder, operational director, and Chairman of Komeh Construction. For more than 45 years, Komeh Construction has delivered modern construction and development solutions across the Middle East and Africa.
Mr. Motazedi has extensive experience in large-scale residential, commercial, and industrial development projects, including shopping malls, residential communities, industrial facilities, and infrastructure developments. He has successfully developed and managed numerous projects throughout international markets while building experienced engineering and construction teams capable of executing complex projects efficiently and cost effectively.
His leadership and long-standing experience in international development continue to guide Barclays Gedi Group’s strategic growth and global project initiatives.

Wayne Gerl
President
Wayne Gerl serves as President of Barclays Gedi Group and leads the firm’s construction operations and project capitalization activities.
Mr. Gerl brings more than 50 years of professional experience across national and international construction, civil engineering, infrastructure development, industrial operations, and real estate development projects. His experience includes the planning, development, and execution of shopping centers, parking structures, commercial developments, residential communities, concrete plants, industrial facilities, and major infrastructure works.
Throughout his career, Mr. Gerl has managed municipal, county, and state contracts across the United States and has participated in numerous international projects involving infrastructure, development, and industrial operations. He also possesses significant expertise in project structuring, site acquisition, risk mitigation, and construction management.
Mr. Gerl’s experience in both development and operational execution plays a central role in Barclays Gedi Group’s integrated project delivery model.

Dr. Zafar A. Bokhari

Dr. Zafar Bokhari is an international business executive, entrepreneur, academic, and industrial development strategist with more than four decades of experience in finance, construction, manufacturing, technology transfer, and global market development. As Vice Chairman, Managing Partner at BGG, he leads strategic initiatives across Saudi Arabia, MENA, Africa, Asia, and South America, supported by BGG USA's project development and financing capabilities.
Educated in Pre-Engineering and Law at Multan University, Pakistan, with MBA and DBA studies in Chicago and England, Dr. Bokhari began his career with Pak-Arab Fertilizers and German engineering company Uhde. He later became a Professor of International Business at Chicago State University, combining Action Research with practical industrial and economic development.
Dr. Bokhari developed an “All-in-One” Industrial Development Model integrating manufacturing, construction, commercial and residential development, water management, universities, and entrepreneurship. The model promotes 15–25 small and medium-sized industries in population centers to generate employment, technology transfer, exports, and sustainable economic growth. He has developed and commercialized brands in U.S. and international markets, including initiatives associated with PepsiCo and Costco. At BGG, he is advancing U.S.–Saudi partnerships in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, home appliances, solar air conditioning, construction, manufacturing, and technology transfer.
Dr. Bokhari has served as a U.S. Government Business Delegate on trade missions across four continents. His recognitions include the U.S. Department of Justice Outstanding Citizen Award,Commissioner with the ARDC of the Supreme Court of Illinois, Rotary International Ambassador, University Senator, and Academic and Business Scholar in China.
His mission is to connect capital, technology, industry, universities, government, and international markets to build commercially sustainable industries, create human capital and employment, expandexports, and generate long-term economic growth.

Highly accomplished Project Development and Healthcare Management Executive with more than 20 years of experience in the planning, development, operation, and management of healthcare projects and hospitals. Proven expertise in leading multidisciplinary teams,optimizing healthcare operations, and delivering complex projects from concept through implementation.
In addition to extensive healthcare experience, possesses over 10 years of professional experience in the planning, development, construction, and commissioning of industrial projects, supported by specialized training from UNIDO. Combines strong legal knowledge with project management expertise to successfully negotiate, administer, and oversee strategic initiatives.

Gregory Proctor is a Professional Engineer and development consultant with more than 30 years of experience in civil engineering, project management, infrastructure design, and land development.
Mr. Proctor's experience spans federal, state, and local government projects as well as major private-sector developments with national builders and developers. Mr. Proctor is the owner of Carnahan, Proctor and Cross, a multidisciplinary engineering firm with offices throughout the State of Florida.
He is a registered Professional Engineer in both Florida and North Carolina and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University.
Mr. Proctor is a strong advocate for advanced engineering technologies and provides expertise in areas including 3D laser scanning, modeling, infrastructure systems, surveying, and construction management. His technical leadership supports Barclays Gedi Group’s engineering and infrastructure development capabilities.

Richard Wagner

Mr. Wagner has handled numerous financing for Governmental and corporate entities and provided flexible financing credit strategies. Mr. Wagner is President of Southeastern Investment Securities, in business for over 40 years. He is a leader in municipal financing and capital improvement programs.
John Richter
BGG Project Capitalization Team
A financial expert in the trade finance arena, Mr. Richter brings worldwide experience to BGG.
He is the president of Richter International and has served as past Director and Sr. Vice President at Ex-Im (Export-Import) Bank. He was the Regional Director for Africa at Ex-Im Bank responsible for the planning and business operations in Africa. He also has served as the Senior Vice President - Small Business at Ex-Im Bank whereby he lead all Ex-Im Banks’ activities to identify and attract small business exporters. Prior to joining Ex-Im Bank, Mr. Richter was the Regional Director for Africa and the Middle East for the U.S. Trade and Development Agency.
Jerome Kling

Jerome Kling has more than 35 years of experience in site development, heavy construction, project engineering, surveying, estimating, and construction management.
Following his studies at Pennsylvania State University and service in the United States Army, where he attained the rank of E-5, Mr. Kling built a career focused on the ownership and management of construction companies responsible for major highway, bridge, infrastructure, utility, and commercial development projects throughout the eastern United States.
His experience includes sanitary sewer systems, water systems, underground utilities, bridge construction, and large-scale civil infrastructure works.
Mr. Kling’s expertise in heavy construction and infrastructure operations supports Barclays Gedi Group’s execution capabilities across transportation and utility infrastructure sectors.

Mr. Manzoor holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
